La Comunidad General de Regantes, Riegos de levante, margen Izquierda del segura, ha recibido una subvención de 50.000€ destinada en su totalidad al cambio y mejora de las compuertas responsables de la regulación de caudales y de láminas de agua en la zona húmeda correspondientes al Parque Natural El Hondo Elche-Crevillente.
En total, se ha mejorado la funcionalidad y estanqueidad de 21 compuertas situadas en el canal Principal de Riegos de Levante, responsables de los accesos del agua hacia los embalses y por tanto con la misión fundamental de control, regeneración y regulación de esta importante zona húmeda del Sur de la Comunidad Valenciana.
Con esta acción se ha conseguido una mejora en la calidad del agua de la zona húmeda. Además, se han instalado rejas de desbaste para disminuir, la entrada de nutrientes y materia orgánica a los embalses. Estas rejas actuarán a su vez como barreras físicas para ayudar al control de la EEI Cyprinus carpio.

La Comunitat General de Regants, Regs de llevant, Marge Esquerre del segura, ha rebut una subvenció de 50.000€ destinada en la seua totalitat al canvi i millora de les comportes responsables de la regulació de cabals i de làmines d’aigua en la zona humida corresponents al Parc Natural El Fondo Elche-Crevillente.
En total, s’ha millorat la funcionalitat i estanqueïtat de 21 comportes situades en el canal Principal de Regs de Llevant, responsables dels accessos de l’aigua cap als embassaments i per tant amb la missió fonamental de control, regeneració i regulació d’esta important zona humida del Sud de la Comunitat Valenciana.
Amb esta acció s’ha aconseguit una millora en la qualitat de l’aigua de la zona humida. A més, s’han instal·lat reixes de desbast per a disminuir, l’entrada de nutrients i matèria orgànica als embassaments. Estes reixes actuaran al seu torn com a barreres físiques per a ajudar al control de l’EEI Cyprinus carpio.
